CHIO Aachen
The CHIO Aachen is an international equestrian sport tournament (Concours Hippique International Officiel) that has been held in Aachen since 1924. According to the regulations of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), each country may only host one CHIO. This means that the CHIO Aachen is the only event of its kind in Germany. The organizer is the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e. V., which was founded in 1898. The venue is the equestrian stadium in the Soers Sports Park. In addition to the name according to the nomenclature for tournaments, the CHIO has been held under the self-chosen name World Equestrian Festival since 1992.
